Jasmine,
They say time flies when you're having fun, but this past month didn't just fly—it felt like a beautiful, chaotic blur. Honestly, it feels like I've known you for a lifetime, yet it also feels like our first day was just yesterday.
My mom always told me that when the right person comes along, you'll just know. You won't have to force the conversation, you won't have to fight to make it beautiful, and you'll find yourself being completely open, honest, and vulnerable without a single second thought. The moment I met you, I realized exactly what she meant. Even before we were official—right before uGroup that Wednesday—you completely disarmed me. You had told me on Koer† that you only give side-hugs to guys, and full hugs were reserved for your boyfriend. But when we met, you didn't hesitate. You gave me a full hug, and I swear I melted right into it. I knew right then and there that I was completely locked in.
Before you walked into my life, my head space was a heavy, constant stream of stress and anxiety. I was caught in that trap of living just to work, instead of actually enjoying the life I was building. But you changed the entire frequency. Now, even the most mundane daily tasks bring me genuine joy. You brought back every single piece of my smile, and you woke up the little boy in me who just wanted to experience real love, peace, and absolute happiness. Every bit of adult stress completely pales in comparison to the reassurance you give me every single day.
Whether I'm calling you My Liefie, Meine Schatz, Mrs Tism, My Love, My Lovey, or my Liefste—every single name means the exact same thing: you are my absolute favorite person. We are so entirely in sync. On the days I'm feeling off, you feel it instantly and ask if I'm okay, like our souls are just wired into the same network.
I love that we're already looking down the road and talking about our wedding. It gives me a massive sense of purpose. I am entirely committed to doing this right—putting in the work to clear my debt and standing proudly in front of your parents to ask for your hand. You deserve that level of respect and security, and I can't wait to give it to you.
Whether we're making big plans for the future, or just driving around with the bass shaking the mirrors to Van Pletzen and Melanie Martinez, there is nowhere else I'd rather be. Come hell or high water, Jasmine, you are my safe haven.
Happy one-month anniversary. Here's to forever.
Love,
Henrico
